I called to ask for a quote to visit…
I called to ask for a quote to visit Vietnam in a tailor made tour. The lady I spoke to was quite abrupt in her manner and let me know she didn't have time to look at it. No offer to call back or make an appointment to chat later. It was a simple please go away I'm busy. All the marketing for the company state call us to discuss a holiday. I'm not sure why this company are reviewed so highly, so maybe they have changed recently. The customer service I received was rude and I certainly won't call back. I will try Selective Asia or Rickshaw Travel, both of whom I've had good experiences with in the past.

We arranged a private tour to India in…
We arranged a private tour to India in Jan-Feb. 2020. All aspects of our tour were well arranged, and we were looked after by Dilip, who taught us much about India's culture, history and cuisine. We would gladly recommend a Wendy Wu private tour, and look forward to seeing more of our wonderful planet with Wendy Wu in 2021 and 2022.

Excellent again
I booked a tailor made private guided tour to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, this was cancelled by Wendy Wu due to coronavirus. I was given a credit note for my deposit, but after 7 months I decided to ask for a refund because I was concerned that the tour would not go ahead in 2021 due to coronavirus and they refunded my deposit in full within 2 weeks.
I am now looking to book with them again in 2022.

Cancelled tour due to coronovirus
Booked tour to Vietnam in February and it got cancelled due to Coronavirus. Rebooked for November 8th, this has got cancelled for same reason. Wendy Wu, on request, has refunded all money paid in a week. Would certainly consider Wendy Wu again in future.

Couldn't have asked for or expected a better service.
Holiday to Japan travelling on 1st November 2020 was cancelled on the 21st September and a full refund of our deposit was in our bank on 29th September.
Full balance payment was extended by Wendy Wu until 6 weeks before departure.
Couldn't have asked for or expected a better service.

Try a charge back claim on your debit…
Try a charge back claim on your debit or credit card. I have done this successfully via America express for a refund against another company. Worth a try.

I have also seen some people have been successful in the small claims court. Useful info on citizens advice, including a template for letter before action.

Also the competition and markets authority have said this.

"Online travel agents have a legal responsibility to provide prompt refunds to customers whose holidays have been cancelled due to coronavirus - irrespective of whether the agent received refunds from airlines and accommodation providers," said Andrea Coscelli, chief executive of the CMA"

Refund received on June 22
Awaiting a refund for a cancelled holiday. WW just state “no refunds” and give no indication when I might get my money if I don’t rebook another trip. Well over £10k is at stake: balance paid in late February and it seems unlikely that this has been paid out by WW.
Why can’t they refund this and retain my deposit until they get Airline refunds?
I have no confidence that I shall see my money again, certainly not for ages.
It makes a total mockery of ABTA and “ book with confidence”.

we were booked to go to india on the…
we were booked to go to india on the 14th of march 2020, we were told 2 days before that all indian visas were canceled and we would receive a e-mail to let us know our options, no e-mail arrived and have now been told no refund or rebooking of our trip,as anyone else had this response or has anyone had a refund or been able to rebook, come on wendy wu pull your finger out or you wont have a travel company because of all the bad revues you are going to get from all over world.

No refund...illegal (updated)
No refund for cancelled trip to Japan. Have had legal advice from Which? And this is illegal. There’s a standard letter to be sent quoting regulation 12 of the package travel and linked travel arrangements regulation 2018 which says they must return money within 14 days.

UPDATE :: have now received all the money back so changing to a 2 star review

We are due to fly to India today
We are due to fly to India today, my husband has rung 3 times since India announced it has cancelled all tourist visas. Each time they say we will email you shortly, but when we call back they say they haven't decided yet. We aren't sure whether we should go to the airport later today. If we haven't been told officially that the holiday is cancelled and we don't turn up we aren't sure our insurance will pay out.
Come on Wendy wu talk to your customers

Just come back from a China experience
Just come back from, Wendy wu's, a China experience, my first holiday as a solo traveller, from start to finish, flights, the fab tour guides, grace, Gary, Mark and fabulous Tony, who nothing was ever to much trouble, fabulous sights, food, and great value for money, fast pace, but fit in so much, one thing I would say is, no need for clothes for evenings, as from early morning to evenings, not much free time, but suited me, would recommend totally, have a great time I did

have booked a tour but.............
have booked a tour, now very worried about it. The service from their office is pitiful. Misleading, overcharged (cost of visa should have been deducted, more fool me for thinking they could be trusted to to that), slow to respond to request for refund, obfusticate over making it (we don't do bank transfer, despite having one of their agents tell us they did. One example.
Sincerely hope the tour is better than their admin and customer service. very worried indeed

Just did Wonders of China.
Just did Wonders of China.
Could not visit Tiananmen Square. Forbidden city was very crowded and unsafe. 10 mins for the Imperial Garden. 1 hr for the Temple of Heaven. 2 hrs for the Great Wall. 1 hr for the Summer Palace.
Food was monotonous Chinese meals for all lunches and dinner.
All except two hotels were of good quality.
Most breakfasts were of poor standards.
Lot of valuable time was spent in factories such as jade, silk, terracotta, pearl.
Sadly it was a waste of money and time doing this tour.
Hands on heart, I cannot recommend Wendy Wu Wonders of China tour
